Pocket Money Books is a brand-new niche publisher and bookshop on a mission: to publish exciting and engaging, affordable A6-sized reading books that children genuinely want to read. We focus on stories and factual books for children aged 4–14, priced so that every child can own and collect them with their own pocket money. Pocket sized books at pocket money prices that pack a punch.
But we only want exciting, challenging and intriguing books that get straight to the point. No filler, long introductions, unnecessary descriptions or wasted words. Our books are shorter in content but pack a real punch. And, although we care about the quality of writing, we will publish any manuscript that we think children will love - simple as that.
We’re not a traditional publisher chasing big commercial trends—we’re here to champion well-written, exciting, meaningful content that sparks a love of reading in young minds.

What do we do?

We publish A6-sized paperbacks and ebooks between 3,000 and 30,000 words. We’re looking for:
